2011 NBA Finals - A Rematch of the 2006 Finals

In 2011, the Dallas Mavericks faced the Miami Heat in a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals. The Mavericks were led by Dirk Nowitzki, who averaged 26.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game during the playoffs. The Heat were led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

The series was a close one, with the Mavericks winning Game 6 in Miami to clinch the championship. Nowitzki was named the NBA Finals MVP after averaging 28.6 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Division Titles and Conference Championships

Since their inaugural 1980-81 season, the Mavericks have won five division titles (1987, 2007, 2010, 2021, 2024) and two conference championships (2006, 2011).

The Mavericks' most recent division title came in the 2023-24 season, when they finished with a 57-25 record. The Mavericks also won the Western Conference in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, but lost to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
